Swayam Vyaktha Kshetrams:
Lord Ranganatha has manifested
Himself in three places – in the east at Srirangam, in the south at Ananthashaynam
and in the west at Srirangapatna. At these three places, the Deities of Lord
Ranganatha are Swayambu (self-manifested), meaning They are not carved by
anyone. Hence the place is called as Swayam Vyaktha Kshetram. Srirangapatna is
considered to be a very sacred place by the devotees.
Kaveri forming Island at three places:
Also, Kaveri River forms three
small sacred islands in its river stretch in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu at Adi
Ranga, at Sriranga Patna, Madhya Ranga at Shiva Samudram and
Antya Ranga at Srirangam where Ranganatha temple is located.
