Gopal Temple, Bishnupur, West Bengal
Madan Gopal Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to
Lord Vishnu located in Bishnupur Town in Bankura District of West Bengal State,
India. It is a historical place with a market adjacent to the temple. The place
is called Madhab Ganga and famous for Rathajatra festival. The temple was built
by Shiromani Devi, Queen of Veer Singha II in 1665 A.D. The Temple follows Pancharatna
Style. The Temple is located at about 1.5 Kms from Bishnupur Bus Stand, 3.5 Kms
from Bishnupur Junction Railway Station and 2.5 Kms from Bishnupur New Bus
Stand.
