Kotiling Shiva Temple,

Kotiling Shiva Temple is a Hindu
temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located very near to the famous Kamakhya
Temple located Guwahati City in Kamrup District of Assam, India. It is situated
on the north side of Nilachal Hill. The Temple is situated on the banks of
Brahmaputra river.
History
The Temple is believed to be
built in 1565 CE.
The Temple
This is a cave temple situated
on the north side of Nilachal Hill. Devotees need to climb 300 steps to reach
this Temple. Presiding Deity in the form of Linga is housed inside a cave.
Idols of Ganesha can be found in the temple premises. Parashuram Kund can be found
on the east side of the entrance.
