Manikanteswara Temple, Kanipakam, Andhra Pradesh
Manikanteswara Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva located in Kanipakam Village near Chittoor City in Andhra Pradesh,
India. The Temple is situated adjacent, on the right side of the Kanipakam Vinayaka
Temple. This Temple is believed to be built during the period of Kulothunga
Chola (11th century) and later expanded during the reign of the
Vijayanagara Kings in the year 1336. Presiding Deity is called as Manikanteswara
and Mother is called as Maragathavalli. The Temple is very well maintained with
an absolutely beautiful garden.
