– Useful Information
1. Ashtami Days, Tuesdays and
Saturdays are special days for worship. Hence Temple will be crowded.
2. If you want to have hazzle
free darshan, Wednesday and Thursday are the best days. It is less crowded in
the early mornings.
3. General Queue is free. Sevaits
/ V.I.P / Staff queue are accessible by paying money and by references.
4. There are two queues. One for
going to the sanctum and another for having Dharshan from the Varandah (Jor Bangla).
5. The queue going to the sanctum
is better organized and is controlled by security guards and police men (at
least on Tuesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and festival days).
6. The queue going to the
Varandah (Jor – Bangla) is under the control of the Dalals and Pandas. Queue is
maintained and controlled at their will.
7. Dalals and Pandas will inform
you that it will take hours to have darshan in Sanctum and advise you to try Varandah
(Jor – Bangla) for Darshan. Don’t believe and the statement made by them is not
correct.
8. Avoid taking cell phones and
digital cameras to the temple. If it is unavoidable, keep them in handbag
safely while entering the temple.
9. Do not carry a heavy
wallet/purse openly. Also carry enough changes in denominations of 10, 20, 50
and 100 rupees.
10. Devotees will be approached
by persons outside the temple with a promise of a quick darshan. Please do not
believe / entertain them.
11. Peaceful darshan inside the
sanctum will never happen. You have to pay for peaceful darshan inside sanctum.
Even after paying money also, it is not guaranteed. Please do not pay even if
they demand. Please be careful, if they show Arati to you. Do not accept the
Arati. If you accept the Arati, you have to pay them.
12. There are people inside and
outside sanctum asking for money. Please do not shell out money to these
people. If you want to give, give 10 rupees maximum.
