Gangotri Temple is a
Hindu Temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga, located in Gangotri in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India.
It is situated on the
banks of the river Bhagirathi. It is
on the Greater Himalayan
Range, at a height of
3,100 metres (10,200 ft). It is one of the four sacred and
important pilgrimage sites of Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand.
