Surya Kund and Gauri Kund are waterfalls on river Bhagirathi, located in Gangotri in Uttarakhand, India.  Surya Kund & Gauri Kund are located at about 500 meters from Gangotri Temple. Both these waterfalls lie on either side of an iron bridge near GMVN Tourist Bungalow in Gangotri.

Surya Kund and Gauri Kund are waterfalls on river Bhagirathi. The Bhagirathi River falls spectacularly through deep gorges into downstream here. These waterfalls are known for its sparkling milky water cascading down the mountains. It is believed that there is a Shiva Linga downstream immersed in water which is being washed by the waterfall all the time. It is also known as submerged Shiv Linga.

Surya Kund & Gauri Kund is located at about 26 Kms from Harsil, 100 Kms from Uttarkashi, 263 Kms from Rishikesh Railway Station, 266 Kms from Dehradun Airport, 267 Kms from Rishikesh, 285 Kms from Haridwar, 286 Kms from Haridwar Railway Station and 503 Kms from New Delhi Airport. Gangotri is situated at the end of NH 108. Pilgrims need to go to Uttarkashi by GMOU bus or private taxi. From Uttarkashi, four wheelers are available on shared basis to Gangotri.

Gangotri is connected with motorable roads, buses and taxis from important destinations like Rishikesh, Dehradun, Uttarkashi and Tehri Garhwal. Surya Kund & Gauri Kund are located at about 500 meters from Gangotri Temple. Both these waterfalls lie on either side of an iron bridge near GMVN Tourist Bungalow in Gangotri. Visitors could reach the waterfalls by taking the walkway past the Dandi Kshetra and Tapovan Kuti ashrams.
