Mahabaleshwar Temple, Gokarna – Connectivity
The temple is located on the shores of Arabian Sea on the west coast of India, near the city of Karwar. It is set in a lush, green environment in the holy town of Gokarna (also spelt "Gokarn") in Uttara Kannada (or North Kannada district). The Temple is located at about 600 meters from Gokarna Bus Stand, 10 Kms from Gokarna Road Railway Station, 16 Kms from Ankola, 33 Kms from Kumta, 61 Kms from Karwar, 232 Kms from Mangaluru, 147 Kms from Hubli, 164 Kms from Panaji, 178 Kms from Udupi and 484 Kms from Bengaluru.
By Road:
National Highway 17 (NH17), a coastal highway on the Western Ghats (from Mangalore to Mumbai), passes close to Gokarna. Gokarna is off NH 17, and buses are available from Udupi, Mangalore, Karwar, Kumta and Ankola.  Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) runs long-journey buses from cities like PanajiBengaluru and Mangalore. Private buses (Vijayanand Roadlines - VRL, Sugama, Sea Bird, etc.) operate night journeys from the capital city of Bengaluru to Gokarna daily.
By Train:
It can be reached by Konkan Railway on the Mumbai to Mangalore route or Goa to Mangalore route. Nearest Railway Station is Gokarna Road Railway Station (10 Kms) on the Konkan Railway. The station has a retiring room at a nominal price. Many important trains like Matsyagandha Express, KSR Bengaluru Karwar Express, Poorna ExpressMarusagar Express and Mangalore Local and DEMU local are the Daily Local Trains halt here.
By Air:
Nearest Airports are Hubli Domestic Airport (146 Kms), Panaji Airport, Goa (157 Kms) and Mangaluru Airport (236 Kms).
